A FEW GOOD LEO'S
COPLINE is a not-for-profit national law enforcement officers hotline. We are always looking for retired officers to volunteer to man the phones. We are in the infancy stages of getting the hotline up and running. We are dedicated to having trained retired officers answer the hotline. Officers will receive 40 hours of training. COPLINE will come to a central location to commence training. Officers will be supplied with the telephone and computer software necessary for the job. Volunteers may donate as little or as much time as they want. COPLINE will operate as follows: when an officer or officer's family member calls 1-800-COPLINE, they will be routed to the nearest retired officer from the state that the caller is calling from.
To volunteer, download this form , print and mail.
A FEW GOOD MENTAL HEALTH PROFESSIONALS
COPLINE is looking for mental health professionals throughout the country with experience dealing with Law Enforcement Officers to add to its network.
If you know of someone that you can recommend, download and forward this form to them.
Training will be an essential part of COPLINE. Our ultimate goal is to train officer's spouses and young adult children of high school age to be able to take calls, making it a truely peer-to-peer hotline. Retired officers will go through an extensive training process, COPLINE will be funded through donations received from corporate sponsorships, private donations and fund-raisers, as well as state grants.
If you are interested in getting involved in this challenging an unique program, or know a retired officer from any state that might be intererested please contact COPLINE at 1-800-267-5463 x8 or e-mail us at copline@optonline.net. Please be patient and remember that there are several steps in this process.
We want to do it right, not fast. |
